"It is simple. We are where we should be doing what we should be doing. Otherwise, we would be somewhere else doing something else." -Richard Stine

Roller Derby-I was drafted to Houston Roller Derby in 2006. I played for the Psych Ward Sirens, Knockouts, All-Stars, and then played a couple years as a Brawler. Pow! I played contact sports my whole life and have accumulated way too many injuries. I know firsthand how it feels to be sidelined from the activities you love most and the daily, chronic pain that results from cartilage wear and tear. I should have hang up my skates due to age and degeneration, but instead focused extra on my mobility, strength, and muscle recovery so that I could enjoy the rush of playing on the track. By researching how to heal myself I have become a more knowledgeable therapist.

Pilates-I fell in love after my first reformer class at Premier Pilates and hope to someday soon obtain my instructor certification by apprenticing the fabulous, Rosa McGill.

Handywork-I tried my hand at property flipping and learned many remodeling skills. Now I am a Jill of all trades (master of none.) I am DIY proficient at carpentry, plumbing, electrical wiring, laying tile, installing engineered wood flooring, drywall, and appliance repair. Now I use all my tools to build furniture and art.

My husband, Luis moved here from Mexico in 2000. We got married in 2011 and blended our families. He is loving, supportive and patiently puts up with the chaos I spin by juggling motherhood, my massage practice, and various construction projects that keep the garage crazy messy. Together we have five children.  Tobin, my gentle giant was 6"2", 270 pounds by 14. He should graduate from Cy Ranch High in 2018 and is an avid reader and conversationalist. Jengo, my charismatic socialite "Wins the Day" at Bridgeland High while my my same-aged step son, Anthony, attends a Katy high school. Both played freshman fútbol (soccer) and football.  We live in the beautiful Bridgeland community and our entire crazy household is run by my adorable daughter Mindy.  She spends her days at Pope Elementary and then helps me take care of all the boys, including her dad, both her big brothers AND her little brother, Loki. He lives up to his Norse God namesake when it comes to mischief and destruction.

I attended the Texas Massage Institute when I was 16 and graduated from University of Texas at Austin in 1998 with a B.A. in psychology.

I have worked in spas all over Texas including Urban Retreat in River Oaks, Salon 505 in Austin's arboretum, and Soho Salon in Denton. I also spent years in various positions at our family-owned wholesale plumbing supply business.
